A recipe inspired by wit beers of old gives us the chance to empower your choices as a brewer. The 8th annual Pink Boots hop blend combines Simcoe, Chinook, Mosaic, and Krush hops that play with the malt in the recipe, creating an opportunity for the bound thiol potential in these hops to be released! Traditionally Belgian wit or French blanche beers are spiced with orange peel and coriander - you can do this, leave the beer un-spiced, or let your imagination run wild. You have carte blanche clearance for creativity!

About the pink boots blend

Each year, Yakima Chief Hops (YCH) creates a unique hop blend in support of the Pink Boots Society (PBS), a global non-profit organization whose mission is to assist, inspire, and encourage women individuals in the fermented/alcoholic beverage industry to advance their careers through education. Great Fermentations will be donating 10% of all Pink Boots blend related sales in 2025 to the non-profit. In its 8th Annual iteration, YCH has called upon women hop farmers in its grower-owner network to have a deeper role in the blend’s creation.
