Smoked (rauch) malt from Best Malz is a malt that can either be used to add smoked character to beers, increase perception of spirit notes in spirit barrel and wood aged beers, or used as a base for traditional German Rauchbiers. It has a smokiness remisicent of liquid smoke or smoked meats. In addition to beers, it can also be used for distillates such as whiskey, as it has high enzymatic activity.
