Frascati is a wine named after a town of the same name in Lazio, Italy, just south of Rome. Frascati is a blend that relies heavily on different strains of Malvasia grapes, including Malvasia Bianca and Malvasia with Trebbiano, Greco, Bellone and Bombino Bianca and other white wine varietals. These wines can have citrus character and zesty acidity from the Malvasia grapes, as well as more floral aromas from the Trebbiano that help to balance the wine. Frascati is a great all-around white wine that was a favorite of the ancient Romans, and remains a popular wine served in cafes and restaurants in Rome to this day!
