Logan Street Pils is a hoppy pilsner beer developed and brewed with Nathan and Tim of Primeval Brewing in Noblesville, Indiana! Located on Logan Street, Primeval is known for their traditional European style beers, so this one was a bit of a twist for them! Using locally produced pilsner and chit malts from Sugar Creek Malting Company, this simple base is perfect for locally grown Indiana Triump, Crystal and Michigan Copper hops from Crazy Horse hops!
Yeast Selections
This beer turns out wonderfully if fermenting at ale temperatures using Lutra, a clean Kveik strain (we suggest using Omega yeasts for our Local Series kits, as Omega Yeast Labs is just across the state line in Chicago!) Plus, if you really want to pull out the thiols from the hops, you can use Star Party at ale temps as well! Crisp, clean, delicious and hoppier than a normal pilsner, this is a great summer beer! However, this beer can also be made with a traditional lager yeast such as Bayern and go through a traditional lager fermentation if you have the ability and want to keep it traditional!
