HOPSHOT

CO2 hop extract is here for the homebrewer! This hop resin has been extracted using liquid CO2, and has several advantages. The CO2 extraction method takes all the essential acids and oils out of the hop cones without pulling our tannins and polyphenols, which can be harsh and are present in the plant material. This leads to a smoother bitterness, especially in big, hoppy beers with a lot of IBUs. In addition, hop extracts are better storage properties than regular pellet or whole leaf hops, degrading at a much slower rate. The lack of plant material also means less wort loss to absorption.

HOW TO USE:
Use is easy, as the hop oil can be added to the boil just like hop pellets or cones! One milliliter of our hop extract yields around 10 IBUs in 5 gallons of 1.050 wort when boiled for 60 minutes, which means this 5 mL syringe will produce roughly 50 IBUs in an average beer when added at the beginning of the boil. It is made from CTZ (Columbus - Tomohawk - Zeus) hops and while it is primarily made for bittering, some people like to use a little for flavor or aroma additions. Just a little extract from a Lupulin Injection goes a long way! Comes with 5 ml of hop extract.
