Now available in PurePitch Packaging! Irish ale yeast from White Labs is a wonderful strain for producing dark beers, most notably stouts, porters, browns and reds. However, it can be used as a house strain and can produce a unique and interesting pale ale! It produces a hint of diacetyl, with a light fruitiness. It can finish a bit drier than standard British strains, which allows for a crisp ale in the end. This strain is purported to have originally come from the Guiness brewery. A great choice for any stout or Irish red ale, it can be used for any ale where a dry finish is desired.
