British Ale yeast from White Labs is a strain much beloved by the brewing community. Producing classic malt-forward British style beers, this strain ferments quickly, being slightly more attenuative than White Labs' English Ale strain. This yeast has gotten many positive reviews in the brewing community, with a wide range of British beers made with it, including bitters, pale ales, English IPAs, brown ales, porters, and stouts. It is a highly flocculant strain that can produce crystal clear beers. Some people use this on American style pale ales and IPAs as well, relying on the maltiness of the yeast character to produce a malt backbone for hops to rest pleasently upon. Give this strain a try the next time you are making a British or American style ale where maltiness is desired!
