WLP007

Dry English Ale yeast from White Labs is a great strain for getting those British-style ales a bit drier than a normal English strain would do. It is comparable in flavor to WLP 002, but tends to attenuate about 10% more attenuative than 002. This makes it the perfect for many British style ales, such as ESBs, bitters, English IPAs and Pale ales, browns, porters, and stouts, especially when a drier finish product is desired. Being highly attenuative, it is also suitable for high-gravity beers of about 10% ABV or less. For a little variation, try this one on your next British brew!
