WLP041Malty and delicious, Pacific Ale yeast from White Labs is a strain that flocculates out well, creating beers with excellent clarity and a deliciously malty profile! This strain is noted to be good for several different American styles, running the gamut from pale ales and IPAs to browns, porters, and stouts. However, it has been said to shine in English style ales, and again, works well in just about any English style of beer. It's complex maltiness works well in conjunction with a slight fruitiness that is restrained and a slight pronunciation of hop character. It can be slow to attenuate fully, but the results are quite pleasing!
