This unique kveik strain, isolated from a mix culture belonging to Harald Opshaug, a farmhouse brewer in Standa, Norway, has all the hallmarks of a kveik yeast: a wide temperature range, fast fermentation and clean profile. Opshaug also has high attenuation, medium to high flocculation characteristics, and a medium to high alcohol tolerance. This strain is perfect for use in the production of pale ales and IPAs, tending to dry beers out and allowing hops to be well-pronounced!
