Just like its namesake implies, this is a wonderful yeast for making Munich Helles lagers, as well as other lager beers! Munich Helles yeast from White Labs creates malty yet balances lagers, and as such is a versatile yeast strain. It ferments nicely in the recommended temperature range, producing little sulfur and cleaning up well. It can be used on a range of traditional German lagers, and is good for American lagers and makes a surprisingly good rauchbier! This yeast has fans who swear by it as a house lager strain, or as their absolute favorite for making Munich Helles.
